❄ Winter Coyer Begins ❄

COYER Winter2019

It’s been a while since I’ve participated in a COYER, but I’m so ready to get back into the swing of things, read LOTS of books and share reviews.

This year I’ve slacked, majorly at reading and reviewing. At the end of last year, my son was diagnosed with autism and I silently took leave from the book world a bit to focus on him and his needs and getting him set up with the care that he needed. A year later we have come so far in terms of where we were a year ago at this time.

And now I’m back and what better way to start things up than with one of my favorite events – COYER!

COYER, standing for Clean Out Your E-Reader (which I SO need to do!) is a twice a year event. The rules and all the important bits can be found on the sign-up page using this link.

I’m planning on doing the stricter Winter COYER, because honestly I just don’t have the time in my busy schedule to do the actual buddy reading. But I have a ton of books sitting on my Kindle that are perfect for this event.

This time around we’re being asked to recommend a read. Admittedly this one was hard for me because there were so many I wanted to recommend, but they didn’t fall into the price range (Under $2). Eventually, I decided to recommend a Vi Keeland & Penelope Ward favorite of mine, Hate Notes. Free via Kindle Unlimited or $1.99 for Kindle, Hate Notes is a great read.

It all started with a mysterious blue note sewn into a wedding dress.

Something blue.

I’d gone to sell my own unworn bridal gown at a vintage clothing store. That’s when I found another bride’s “something old.”

Stitched into the lining of a fabulously feathered design was the loveliest message I’d ever read: Thank you for making all of my dreams come true.

The name embossed on the blue stationery: Reed Eastwood, obviously the most romantic man who ever lived. I also discovered he’s the most gorgeous. If only my true-love fantasies had stopped there. Because I’ve since found out something else about Mr. Starry-Eyed.

He’s arrogant, cynical, and demanding. I should know. Thanks to a twist of fate, he’s my new boss. But that’s not going to stop me from discovering the story behind his last love letter. A love letter that did not result in a happily ever after.

But that story is nothing compared to the one unfolding between us. It’s getting hotter, sweeter, and more surprising than anything I could have imagined.

Something new.

But I have no idea how this one is going to end…
